I am definitely not pregnant.  This morning's BFN was followed almost immediately by AF.

At least the bitch didn't keep me waiting.

I was so hopeful.  I had symptoms.  I didn't have that certainty I had with Finn, but my symptoms were enough to make me believe it was real. I'd already imagined telling my parents at Christmas with a t-shirt on Finn that says, "Big Brother."

I really don't want to do this again.

But I want another baby even more.

  1. Oh no! I'm so sorry to hear that, Shannon. I can completely relate to the disappointed re: telling parents. I was so hopeful about my last cycle, and I'd figured out that I would have been able to hear the heartbeat right before my dad's birthday and could announce the news to my parents then -- if the cycle had actually been a BFP. His birthday is today, and obviously I don't get to announce anything.

Big hugs to you, and I hope you can rally for your next try!

Love thinking about Finn in his Big Brother t-shirt, it may just be too much adorableness ;)

  7. I'm so sorry, Shannon.

I know EXACTLY what you're talking about. It's what kept me going through 22 cycles...and while I wouldn't wish that on anyone, it made me sure that I really DID want that second child. Desperately. Even though in many ways life with 1 is so much easier as an SMC.

  9. The last two lines of your post just say it all, I think. - "I really don't want to do this again. But I want another baby even more." Yeah, that. I hope the wait isn't too long and Finn gets to be a big brother soon.

  14. I've been sneaking peeks at my phone all day to see if you posted. I'm so sorry. I have been thinking about you so much this week. Does it help that it's cd1 and you can be trying again in two weeks, or is it just time to grieve this one not working.? So so sorry it didn't work. These mind games are torturous.
